1st home loss of the season

It’s over with the “clean slate” of our 1st team in home games of the current season. There was a 2-0 defeat against newly promoted FC Schwarzenberg.

Schwarzenberg was tactically well adjusted by his coach. However, our team did not find a recipe. Hardly any of our players found their normal form and inaccuracies increased. In the 7th minute the supposed opening goal. Mario Lescher had dusted off, but the referee assistant saw an offside position. 0:1 shortly before the break whistle. After an attack on our part, Schwarzenberg switched quickly and surprised our advanced and not well positioned defense with a hole pass. Florian Dünser pulled up and away and pushed the ball past the goalkeeper into the goal. Goalkeeper Florian Gärtner wanted to play off a guest player in the 69th minute. However, he didn’t succeed, he brought him down and the referee pointed to the point. Florian Gärtner made up for his lapse and saved the penalty with a brilliant save. In the 81st minute Andre Spiegel headed the ball to the crossbar. The bouncing ball came back to Andre Spiegel and this time he headed the ball over the line. The new dress would have deserved a better presentation of our team. Detailed match report and photos on our website at: https://www.fcsulz.at/
