A 13-year-old minor was hospitalized for a gunshot wound

Members of the Missions Police are investigating a firearm injury incident that occurred yesterday, Wednesday, in the Centro neighborhood of the town of Wanda.

The victim is a 13-year-old minor who was taken to the Samic Hospital in Eldorado by a gunshot and is now admitted to the Ramón Madariaga Hospital in Posadas, in a reserved state.

The case became known when the boy’s uncle called the Wanda Police Station and alerted what had happened. Upon arrival, the police officers established that he was transferred to the high-complexity health center due to a gunshot wound, but due to the severity of the injury, he was urgently referred to the Hospital of the Capital City where he is hospitalized.

At the site, the members of the Scientific Police Division of Regional Unit V, carried out the rigorous tests and seized a 9mm pistol, seven pods of the same caliber, a compressed air rifle, and clothing.

The Investigating Court No. 3 of Puerto Iguazú intervenes in the case.
