From the General Directorate of Statistics and Censuses porteña it was reported that a family of four members who lives in the Buenos aires city needed in April at least $52,169 to be unable to indigence; $95,268 to exceed the threshold of the poverty; and $147,135 to be considered middle class.
In this way, the costs of Basic Food Basket, which determines the indigence limit, had an increase of 5.17% last month. At the same time, in the accumulated of the twelve months it reached 59.06%. On the other hand, in the case of Total Basic Basketwhich establishes the poverty ceiling, the monthly increase was 5.31% and the interannual rate was 54.70%.
In turn, the Total Basket, which delimits the fragile middle sector, the middle class and the wealthy sectors, rose 5.30% in the month and 56.73% in relation to March of last year. However, the indicated amounts do not include the payment of housing rent, nor common expenses, since they are not considered consumption expenses.
For his part, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) will release today the inflation that of April. From the National government they expect a lower figure than the 6.7% that was perceived in March. Even according to the Survey of Market Expectationslast month’s retail inflation index would be around 5.6%.
