The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) released the inflacin of the month of September, which increased 3.5% compared to August, while the interannual percentage change is 52.5%.
In turn, the entity indicated that rising consumer prices so far this year it is 37%. In addition the inflacin last month was the highest in the last four months, a higher percentage had not been reported since April, when it was 4.1%.
By detailing the inflacin reported, the statistics entity indicated in its report that the largest increases in September occurred in the clothing and footwear sector (6%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.9%) and health (4.3%).
The division with the highest increase in the month was Clothing and footwear (6.0%), followed by Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.9%), where the rise in cigarettes mainly affected. Health (4.3%), driven largely by the rise in Prepaid Expenses, was the third division with the highest increase of the month, INDEC pointed out in the report.
In turn, the agency clarifies that the two divisions with the lowest increase in September were Goods and miscellaneous services (2.2%) and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.9%).
Inflation in each region of the country
According to the state entity, the general increase in prices in the provinces of Patagonia was 3.7%, the second highest figure in the whole country, behind Greater Buenos Aires (3.8%).
In turn, the inflacin reported in the districts of the Pampas region was 3.4%, while in the northwest region it was 3.3%, those of Cuyo 2.9% and in the northeast regions 2.8%.
