After a theft in a fire truck, Rayanne B. in court for threatening Blanquer

In a video posted on social networks, Rayanne B. threatens the Minister of Education, weapon in hand. The 19-year-old rose to prominence with another video, in which he filmed himself stealing equipment from a fire engine.

Accustomed to social networks, Rayanne B. has also become in a few months a familiar face for justice. This 20-year-old young man with a previously virgin criminal record made himself known to the general public, but especially to the police, after the dissemination of several videos on social networks, where he is followed by tens of thousands of ‘subscribers – on Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok or Telegram. This Tuesday, he appears before the criminal court of Evry for the comments made in one of them.

At the end of last October, just released from police custody, Rayanne B., known by the pseudonym Rayan_psn, was overtaken by his old statements. In an earlier video exhumed by the police, he threatens Jean-Michel Blanquer, the Minister of the Interior, with death. “There we arrive, you will see, n ***** your mother at Blanquer and National Education. Bunch of son of f **** I missed the baccalaureate”, launches the young man facing the camera. Beside him, one of his friends brandishes a gun which he loads.

“Actor play”

In response to these comments released several weeks ago, the Ministry of National Education filed a complaint against Rayanne B. This resulted in the latter being placed in police custody at the Juvisy-sur-Orge police station in Essonne. Faced with the police, the young man, who dreams of a future as a rapper, evokes an “acting game” which earned him to appear in court on Tuesday for “death threats on a person holding public authority”. An offense punishable by three years in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros.

According to our information, while the young man said he regretted his words, the Evry prosecutor’s office had initiated an appearance on prior admission of guilt – a procedure which allows the perpetrator of an offense to be quickly judged when he recognizes the alleged facts. During his presentation before a deputy prosecutor, his lawyer however requested a period of 10 days to prepare his defense. During a new appearance, Rayanne B. presented himself without a lawyer, the procedure could no longer be offered to him, justifying a referral to the criminal court.

Already sued for other videos

The young man rose to prominence at the beginning of October. In one of his videos, he films himself in a fire truck, during an intervention in Ablon-sur-Seine, in Val-de-Marne. He can be seen lying on a stretcher. By the way, he takes with him a bag full of equipment.

The sequence is broadcast on social networks, the firefighters file a complaint. Rayanne B., former supervisor in a college, is arrested. In police custody, he recognizes the facts and claims to have wanted to make his community laugh. “Here I made a video staged with the firefighters, no theft was committed, the firefighters were not disturbed during their intervention”, the young man is justified in a story, once out of guard on sight. The equipment was immediately returned.

At the same time, an old video by Rayan_psn dating from June 2021 was uploaded to Pharos, the Interior Ministry’s illegal content reporting platform. We see him filming himself threatening the police and chanting “Allahu Akbar” while miming shots. For this other sequence, the young man had to answer for the facts of “threats on people holding public authority”.

His record being blank, the judicial authority decided to sanction him, for these two videos, by a criminal composition with a citizenship course. Rayanne B. finally refused this sanction on November 23. The prosecution is currently examining an alternative with new prosecutions.

Always active accounts

Side social networks, Rayanne B. continues to officiate. Some of his accounts have been suspended, but the youngster has created new ones on which he continues to post videos on his daily life, his rivalries with other Internet users or his holidays. Sometimes sexist or misogynistic content.
