President Alberto Fernández condemned this Tuesday before the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) the attack suffered by Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and assured that this attack “seeked to alter democracy” in Argentina.
“I want to thank the solidarity that Argentina received from the whole world for the assassination attempt suffered by our vice president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner,” began the head of state in the United States, a country where he has an agenda of meetings.
During his speech, Fernández urged “to work together to impose dialogue and restore peace” in the “dispute initiated” by the military advance “of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine”, when speaking before the UN General Assembly .
“While we seek to reach the horizon of global pacification, we must abandon the economic and financial practices that the developed world demands of the world that tries to develop,” affirmed the head of state, who said that “sustaining this present will only increase poverty and marginality”.
