The goalkeeper of the national team, Mustapha Zeghba, is physically behind his teammates at Damac FC. His trainer Kresimir Rezic ended up dismissing him from the two friendly matches played during the training camp in Slovenia. The Algerian goalkeeper will have to redouble his efforts to find his best level.
Mustapha Zeghba, the national team’s goalkeeper, continues the preparation for the off-season with his team Damac FC which takes place in Slovenia. However, he was excluded from the friendly match played against the Emirati team Al-Wasl for the second time in a row.
If his trainer Kresimir Rezic took such a decision, it is simply because the international goalkeeper is physically behind his teammates. Faced with this situation, the physical trainer of the Saudi club recommended specific work to him.
Remember that Mustapha Zeghba is playing at Damac FC with three other Algerian players. They are the two defenders Farouk Chafaï and Abdelkader Bedrane as well as the striker Hilal Larbi Soudani.
His poor form worries Belmadi
It must be said that the poor form of Mustapha Zeghba worries the national coach Djamel Belmadi. The reason is simple, he is counting on him to replace Raïs Wahab M’bolhi. The latter could ignore the next courses in the event that he does not find a resident club.
Thus, Belmadi wants his goalkeeper to regain his form and suddenly chain the matches in the Saudi league in order to be 100% ready for the next stage of the national team. The latter will not play an official match next September following the postponement of the double-header against Niger in March 2023. But it should face, in a friendly, a world nation of great caliber.
Also remember that the child of M’sila played the match against Uganda last June, on behalf of the first day of the qualifiers for CAN-2024. He delivered a good performance, where he stood out with a superb penalty save.
