ANDA inspects pumping plants to guarantee safety and good service of the drinking resource

The president of the National Administration of Aqueducts and Sewers (ANDA), Rubén Alemán, highlighted on Monday, November 21, all the advances that the autonomous company has had, prioritizing basic services for all citizens. Proof of this are the efforts directed by the entity to improve the drinking water service received by families from Salavado.

“As an institution, in April, we began inspections at the pumping plants,” said the president of the National Administration of Aqueducts and Sewers (ANDA), Rubén Alemán, detailing that there are more than 200 plants and that this exercise will be repeated in the east and west of the country.

Alemán also explained that the inspections are carried out in order to follow up on the preventive maintenance work they carry out to guarantee service to thousands of families.

We brought together the collaborators of production, operations, laboratory, maintenance crews and led by this server, we began to carry out the verifications in the plants»said Alemán, about teamwork.

Some of these inspections are accompanied by representatives of different international organizations, who have exchanged experiences with ANDA. The purpose of the exchange is to learn and implement good practices to assume and face the challenges as a water service operator. The inspections are part of the commitment to improve the drinking water service.

These inspections had priority during the presence of rains to ensure the supply for ANDA users, so that, despite the emergency due to the rains, the service is guaranteed for Salvadoran families.

ANDA maintains its commitment to provide access to drinking water and that this improves the quality of life of all Salvadoran families.
