Andor: Everything you need to know before the premiere of the Star Wars series on Disney +

We are a few hours away from the long-awaited premiere of Andorthe new series from the universe of starwars on Disney+, with Captain Cassian Andor as the main character, played by Mexican actor Diego Luna.

The program is highly anticipated by fans of the galactic saga, which has become a universe of movies and series thanks to The Walt Disney Company’s streaming platform. Now, after several delays due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and its variants, Andor is ready to premiere this Wednesday, September 21.

The series will follow the adventures of Rebel spy Cassian Andor during his formative years in the Rebellion, just prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Diego Luna will play Andor again, just like in the 2016 film. Connection to the Star Wars saga

As the argument indicates, the events of Andor occur before Rogue One, exactly five years before. We will see the origin of the Rebellion from the context of espionage, how the Rebel Alliance was formed and the people who were vital in confronting the Galactic Empire.


Andor will have two seasons, each of 12 episodes. The first premieres this Wednesday, September 21 and will be a three-part release. The second season, meanwhile, will begin shooting in the fall.

Following the grand premiere, a new episode will be released each subsequent Wednesday.
