Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The “Last Chapter” will be released on December 6

Video games don’t last forever, and titles from annual franchises like Assassin’s Creed are no exception. Two years after its release, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is about to bow out. A final blow will be given with the upcoming arrival of The Last Chapter, the game’s latest downloadable content.

Release scheduled for December 6

As we assumed during the presentation of the roadmap last September, the Last Chapter is approaching. No need to look very far: as its name suggests, this content will be the ultimate that it will be possible to download. The narrative arc of Eivor will therefore end with the release of this new chapter.

It is in an official press release that Ubisoft recalled that it will be a quest available free of charge, for all. A short teaser had been unveiled to present what will be the last adventure of the Assassin Eivor, in the time of the Vikings. The Nordic hero will therefore be able to say goodbye before handing over to his counterpart Basim, from the next Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

On December 6, the final Assassin’s Creed Valhalla content will be released, wrapping up an incredible two years of post-launch. The update will include exciting new content, including The Final Chapter, an intimate and touching conclusion to Eivor’s saga. This epilogue will connect some of the stories developed throughout the game and close the page on your time with the Raven Clan.

In order to be able to access this quest, Ubisoft reminds that some prerequisites will be necessary:

  • Completed the main story by declaring an interest in all territories of England
  • Completed the mythological tales of Asgard and Jotunheim
  • Raise the settlement to level 5 and build the barracks of Jomsvikings
  • Eliminated all targets of the Order of the Ancients and revealed their leader

In conjunction with the arrival of this content, Ubisoft will make Yule, Ostara, Sigrblot, and Oskoreia seasonal holiday rewards available to all merchants in England. Wearing the hood permanently will also be a possible aesthetic addition for your character. On the other hand, although claimed by the gaming community, the New Game + mode will not be a reality, the fault of “a specific Assassin’s Creed experience, very different in its structure from previous titles”.

Remember that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, as well as on Xbox Series X | S, PS5 and Google Stadia (until the service is permanently closed).
