Mexico City.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador will receive his US counterpart, Joe Biden, on January 9.
“President Biden is going to visit us. It will be on the 7th and 8th, Monday and Tuesday of January, let’s see if it is the 7th or the 8th on Monday, is it Monday? January,” said the President.
“Monday, January 9,” said Jesús Ramírez, spokesman for the Presidency.
In a conference, López Obrador announced that during his speech in the Zócalo he will recognize Joe Biden as a statesman who has promoted integration between Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
“President Biden, I’m going to say it on Sunday, is a statesman and is a friend of Mexico.”
“And I’m talking about President Trump and President Biden, why don’t we have to fight, that is a matter there, of the United States, we are going to fight with those who do not respect the people of Mexico, if there is no respect for our people, it is not that we are going to insult them, no.
“In the case of the United States, there are already 40 million Mexicans and they are increasingly present in the internal life of the United States, if there are representatives, and if there are United States senators before Mexicans, the only thing we are going to do is remember that of whoever does not love his homeland does not love his mother”.
