With the mega-hit “I Believe I Can Fly” the singer R. Kelly (54) became a superstar – soon he could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
The criminal trial against the R&B legend began in a federal court in New York on Wednesday: The 54-year-old has to answer for extortion of protection money, sexual abuse of minors and bribery. There is a risk of between ten years in prison and life imprisonment.
