Provider in need of explanation

For the sake of completeness, it must be pointed out that some of the providers mentioned have recently fallen into disrepute. One reason for this was that the company Kape Technologies had numerous well-known names, such as CyberGhost, ExpressVPN or Private Internet Access (PIA) has taken over. At the same time, the company has several VPN review portals bought up. Kape was formerly known as Crossrider, who has been partially accused of developing malware. Other voices only said that the platform was abused by third parties.

In any case, all providers have assured that they will remain independent and insist that nothing will change for the customers. Companies such as ExpressVPN or NordVPN have also signed up for independent tests have it checked.

Free providers

In any case, we strongly advise against free VPN services. In order to work profitably without charging fees, user data is often collected and resold from them.
