The passage of Nicolás Blandi through Colo Colo entered the record of the worst reinforcements that ever came to Chilean football, since its high price made one think that he would set the tone in the rival arches wearing the Cacique shirt.
Unfortunately the story is well known: Two goals in a year and a half, many injuries and the zero confidence it generated in the three coaches that he had in his passage through the Monumental Stadium.
Despite his lousy record at the Cacique, he was not lacking in offers to reinvent his career, with Unión de Santa Fe de Argentina being the team that pinned its hopes on the attacker’s football rebirth.
Blandi himself is excited to regain the level that led him to wear the Boca Juniors shirts in San Lorenzo. This was made clear on his personal Instagram in the official presentation as a brand new Union player, where he sent a message to the rojiblancos fans with some façade photographs.

Blandi’s numbers in the Cacique were very poor in the more than a year and a half that he was at the club, since Since his arrival at the beginning of 2020 he played only 21 official matches and scored just two goals. It remains to be seen if it is reborn on the other side of the mountain range.
