Sports director Fredi Bobic is pleased with the agreement: “It wasn’t just in the relegation that we saw the importance of Prince for our team. He is our leading player, goes ahead and pulls everyone along. It is precisely these qualities that we need in the coming season.”

“I’ve always said how special this club is for me – and showed it on and off the pitch. I feel good, I’m hungry and I want to keep playing with the boys.”says Boateng.

For a long time it seemed clear that Boateng would hang up his shoes this summer due to physical deficits. But in the final spurt of the season, the veteran became extremely important as a stabilizer and leader. Reason enough to postpone the end of your career by a year.
