VfL Bochum wants to use the winter transfer window for some squad adjustments. However, these must make sense, as sports director Patrick Fabian clarifies to the club media: “Basically, we are present on the market. We see where we can improve. At the same time, however, there will also be players who cannot be satisfied with their situation with us. Here, too, it is important to evaluate individual cases accordingly and to discuss possible changes.”
Bochum has the relegation place in mind with only one point behind. In principle, Fabian sees VfL on the right track despite being in 17th place in the table in the second year of the Bundesliga: “We have stabilized and demonstrated our competitiveness. The connection has been restored.” Fabian, who spent his entire footballing career in Bochum, has held the post of Managing Director Sport since September 1st. The former management assistant replaced Sebastian Schindzielorz, who will take up his post as sports director at VfL Wolfsburg in February.
