Brayan Cortés lives a quiet year. He is the undisputed starter in the Colo Colo arc, completed his third consecutive game without conceding goals and enjoys the moment that the squad is living. With a current contract at the Monumental, the goalkeeper feels happy and even decided to fight for a position with Claudio Bravo.
He has a good relationship with the captain of La Roja, they have shared in different stages of everyone’s team, however, surprisingly they could not be together in the last Copa América. “It hurt, I said it at the time. I did not expect it, I take it as an opportunity for improvement ”, he assured Radio Agricultura.
When asked about the possible return of Bravo to the Chief, he gave a curious answer. “Obviously I would like to, but while I’m not there”, he pointed out with a laugh, and then added that “Who wouldn’t like to have him on their team, he’s a great person, a great goalkeeper, he helps you a lot. It would be good for the club, but today I am here ”, he expressed.
Regarding his contractual situation, he has a valid contract until 2022 and a possible renewal, he indicated that “I have not spoken with the club. I have a contract, I am happy, taking advantage of the moment, super focused on what we are doing, I am focused on winning what is coming. Then you will see the other, I am very happy at the club “he closed.
The next challenge for Brayan Cortés will be on Saturday against Antofagasta at the Monumental Stadium in a match corresponding to the seventeenth date of the National Championship.
