Building interest rates fell again by a quarter after the ECB decision

Munich (ots)

In the first half of 2022, construction interest almost quadrupled. This upward trend appears to have stopped following the interest rate decision by the European Central Bank (ECB) at the end of July. At 2.4 percent, interest rates for ten-year mortgage loans are currently a quarter cheaper compared to the highs of 3.2 percent at the beginning of July.

“We see a relaxation in construction interest rates”says Ingo Foitzik, Managing Director of construction financing at CHECK24. “We expect interest rates to move sideways in the near future. With the current conditions, more consumers are once again considering buying real estate. In this very unstable phase, banks are not adjusting interest rates in step. That’s why comparing different mortgage lending offers is more important than ever. “

“We have consistently relied on digital consulting for years”

After entering a few data on the financing project in the CHECK24 construction financing comparison, personal construction financing experts will get in touch.

Various financing options are presented by telephone and internet. These are displayed directly on the customer’s computer screen via screen sharing. Details and open questions are clarified in a detailed discussion via video consultation or telephone. Up to five people can take part in the video consultation. The appropriate financing model is then determined from the products and options from more than 450 providers. Even after that, the personal contact will help at any time, e.g. B. with questions about the loan agreement or during the payment phase.
