Call of Duty Vanguard and the Second World War: scenarios, events and heroes of the Campaign

The official presentation of Call of Duty Vanguard has raised the curtain on the events, characters and scenarios that will characterize the main campaign and, consequently, the multiplayer sector of the next iteration of the Activision shooter series in development at Sledgehammer.

COD Vanguard’s main campaign opens at the twilight of the Nazi regime, in one of the moments of maximum turmoil for Hitler’s Germany. The rich range of missions that will unfold throughout the history of Vanguard will narrate the fictional events of the “Phoenix Project”, a dark Nazi machination that threatens to upset the balance of a conflict that, in Europe, already sees the Allies and the troops of the Soviet army about to besiege the enclaves of the Third Reich.

Frightened by the Nazis’ fear of the tail, the Allied intelligence machine will set in motion to face Heinrich Freisinger and the senior officers following the Gestapo commander. The characters we will play during the campaign will therefore be the members of the small but fierce group of elite fighters selected from among the most experienced units of the Alliance.

With these premises, the major adventure of Call of Duty Vanguardi will take us to visit the most iconic scenarios of the Second World War between the eastern and western front in the role of four specialists: the American pilot Wade Jackson, the Australian infantry soldier Lucas Riggs, the Soviet shooter Polina Petrova and the British paratrooper Arthur “King” Kingsley.

As indicated by Activision with the video reveal of COD Vanguard, the launch of the blockbuster FPS is scheduled for November 5, 2021 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S.
