CDM: 40 years after Algeria, the Saudis sign the 2nd Arab feat

Thunderbolt at the Lusail stadium! Saudi Arabia creates the first feat of the Qatar-2022 World Cup. Indeed, it won against Argentina and its Armada with a score of two goals to one. This is the second Arab feat in the history of the world.

To start the third day of the Qatar-2022 World Cup, we attended the match between Saudi Arabia and Argentina. To the great surprise, the Saudis won with a score of two goals to one. And yet, Messi and co were the big paper favorites to win.

These will quickly get to the heart of the matter. Only ten minutes after kick-off, they will manage to open the scoring, signed Messi on penalty. But in the second half, the representatives of the Arabs in the competition will bend the match.

Returning from the locker room, Saleh Ashehri will succeed in setting the record straight in the 48th. Five minutes later, in the 53rd minute, Salem Al-Dawsari gave Saudi Arabia the lead by scoring the second goal. The Alibiceleste players will do everything to equalize and possibly regain the lead, but all their attempts will be in vain. The least we can say is that they came up against a solid Saudi team that held up well until the final whistle.

The match therefore ended with a score of two goals to one in favor of Saudi Arabia. A first surprise recorded in this World Cup, when Argentina is favorite to win the title. The latter also saw its series of 37 games without defeat stopped.

2nd Arab feat after Algeria

By beating Argentina and its Armada, Saudi Arabia not only created the big surprise of the 2022 World Cup, but also the second great feat in the history of the World Cup after that of Algeria against Federal Republic of Germany in 1982 in Gijón in Spain (2-1).

Tunisia, Morocco and Qatar are the other Arab representatives in the competition. We hope they can make an honorable participation in this great global football event.
