Children in Årby feel worried – meet up with snacks on the way home from school

The first occasion was supposed to be on September 12 but after the shooting where a woman and a children were shot in a playground, housing company Victoriahem hastened the safety-creating effort. Since then, they have served breakfast and snacks in Årby on a couple of occasions.

Three times a week

Now it has been decided that during the autumn there will be adults and children served three days a week. On Wednesdays, the housing company itself is on site, and on Mondays and Fridays, it is the municipality’s Trygga Unga who move in.

Local shops in the area have sponsored with fruit and the hope is that more actors will get involved so that the number of days can be increased further.

A group of friends with boys who had a snack when SVT was on site in Årby say that they think it is good that there are adults standing by the tunnel.

– You feel secure in knowing that there are people who are here, says one of the boys.
