Christine and the Queens takes a trip to the 80s with her single "I finally see you"

Two years after his EP The new life, the singer is back with a track in which she wears the costume of Redcar, her new alter-ego.

Don’t call her Christine and the Queens anymore. In his single I finally see youunveiled this Friday, the French popstar offers an artistic revival and takes on the role of an enigmatic character called Redcar.

In this new title without chorus, the singer travels in the past and explores the synthetic sounds of the 80s, which are reminiscent of the musical productions of Depeche Mode or more recently of The Weeknd.

To compose this piece, Christine and the Queens surrounded themselves with Mike Dean, a renowned Texas producer who has notably collaborated with 2Pac, Drake, Kanye West, Lana Del Rey or Madonna.

A new metamorphosis

Redcar, this alter-ego in a striped suit and red gloves, Christine and the Queens has been showing him for a few days on his Instagram accountslipping here and there some clues about a future project that will follow his latest EP La vita nuova released in 2020.

Recently, the artist has also multiplied collaborations: with Indochine on 3SEXCharli XCX & Caroline Polachek on New Shapes and more recently with 070 Shake on the title Body.
