Lead actress Grace wrote down InstagramDespite the bad news, she said she was “proud of the love, hard work and determination that all our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film, which took seven months to shoot in Scotland.”

She feels “blessed to have worked under absolute greats and in the process to have formed relationships of a lifetime!”

Despite the star cast – including Michael Keaton (70), who slipped back into the role of “Batman”, Oscar winner JK Simmons (67) and Brendan Fraser (53) as the villain – the film was simply sawed off. It shouldn’t even be available on the HBO Max streaming platform.

The reason is unclear – Warner Bros. Discovery has not yet officially commented on the decision. However, a spokesman emphasized that it was not due to the performance of leading actress Grace.

The New York Post, citing Hollywood insiders, reported that audience test screenings had been poor. Noisy “ The Wrap‘ the film ‘simply didn’t work’. According to other reports, “Batgirl” has become a victim of strategic choices.

This year, media giant WarnerMedia — which owns Hollywood studio Warner Bros. and HBO Max — and Discovery merged to form Warner Bros. Discovery. It is possible that the company now wants to primarily produce cinema films instead of films for the streaming platform. However, Batgirl was originally scheduled to air on HBO Max.

Instead, people continue to bet on the success of sequels – as has been the case with superhero films for years.
