City of Jacksonville Delivers Resolution for ‘Cinco de Mayo’

Jacksonville, FL.- The Jacksonville Mexican Chamber of Commerce received from the City Council a resolution recognizing “Cinco de Mayo” in the history and contribution of Mexican-Americans in local society.

Councilman Garrent Dennis was in charge of delivering the resolution that was approved by all his colleagues. As special guests, the Consul of Mexico, Javier De la Vega; Pierson City Councilwoman Sergia Cardenas; Haines City Commissioner Omar Arroyo; and as godmother of the event, the singer Angelina Victoria, who came from Los Angeles.

The delivery of the resolution was made during an event for the ‘Cinco de Mayo’, called “Trocas & Corridos”, last Saturday, May 7.
