The State Coordination of Civil Protection (COEPROC) in Quintana Roo announced through its headline, Adrián Martínez Ortega that work is being carried out prior to the holiday season in terms of safeguarding the safety of the population throughout the state territory.
The director of COEPROC, stated that it seeks to maintain close communication with the municipal directorates, since by strengthening joint work, better results are obtained.

“This meeting, which is the first with the new municipal incumbents, seeks to have a rapprochement with them and to lay the foundations to work in the following seasons,” declared Martínez Ortega.
He also highlighted the issue of the operation Guadalupe-Reyes, the holiday season and the winter season, which unfortunately there are various complications among the population of the municipalities of Quintana Roo.
Adrian Martinez urged the municipal holders present of Civil protection, to prohibit the sale of pyrotechnics that fly or explode, because this type is the one that increases accidents by up to 300 percent in the month of December, in addition to putting the integrity of minors at risk.
Although only 9 municipal Civil Protection officials attended, out of the 11 city councils of the entity, he stressed that there must be a joint reaction to have better results and reduce risks in the population through prevention and alerts of the agency itself.
