Saturday November 6th, 2021, 5 p.m. Parish Church of St. Nicholas
After a long break due to corona, the Wolfurt Citizens’ Music and its youth band presented themselves to the interested audience with a concert in the “Church Sound Room”.
After a festive opening fanfare by Richard Strauss in a version for wind orchestra, works of the original brass music literature follow, which take up religious themes and musically deal with fundamental philosophical questions of our existence. With their mostly hymn-like character or the style of gospel music, the compositions, performed in the sacred space, should touch with devotion and thus find a special “resonance” within us.
This is also the first concert under the direction of our new conductor Michael Schöpf.
