The artists Jane Birkin, Arthur H, Barbara Pravi will take part in a concert at the Trianon in Paris on December 12, in solidarity with the Iranian people.
A concert of solidarity with the Iranian people will be organized on December 12 in Paris, with Jane Birkin, Arthur H and others on stage and speeches by intellectuals like Edgar Morin.
The concert, organized in the hall of the Trianon, is on the initiative of the “Barâyé” collective which was formed in France at the beginning of October in support of the uprising in Iran, and which wants to “amplify the message of this revolution which has set the whole Iranian society.
Anthem of the Uprising
Barayewhich means “for” in Persian, refers to the composition by musician Shervin Hajipour which has become the anthem of the uprising since mid-September.
Jane Birkin will interpret Javanese by Serge Gainsbourg, will also be on stage Arthur H, Barbara Pravi, Souad Massi, Keyvan Chemirani, Imany, Mamani Keita and several other artists, including the Ukrainians of the group Dakh Daughters.
Speeches are expected, including that of the philosopher Edgar Morin or the writers Marie Darrieussecq and Camille Laurens.
