The Felipe Ángeles International Airport will add a new flight this time to an international destination after Copa Airlines announced that it will have a route from Panama to the new air terminal.
The airline will operate the new flight from September 26 of this year with three weekly frequencies: Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
We recommend: Aeroméxico will have 5 new routes from AIFA in August and another one in September
Copa Airlines will be the second international airline with flights in the AIFA, after the Venezuelan Conviasa announced in March that it would have a route from Caracas to the Santa Lucía airport.
The Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, celebrated Copa Airlines’ decision and welcomed it; He stressed that with the announced flight, the airline will contribute to the strengthening of air connectivity to our country.
“It will promote the arrival of more tourists from important source markets such as Panama, Central and South America, welcome friends of Copa Airlines to AIFA. Let us continue to join efforts in both the public and private sectors, actions that encourage tourism activity so that its benefits permeate the population of these brother countries,” said Torruco.
Currently, the AIFA will be operated by the airlines Aeroméxico, Volaris and Viva Aerobús, which offer flights to different national destinations, and Conviasa, which was until now the only international airline with operations in the air terminal.
