With the entry into force of Resolution 1849/2022 of the Ministry of Health of the Nation, published today in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic, the Government eliminated “the mandatory nature of the use of the chinstrap as a preventive measure in the general population”. This provision was imposed on the population after knowing the state that the pandemic of coronavirus he brought with him.
The reason for this decision? Vaccination coverage rates against coronavirus are high enough, as well as the current sanitary and epidemiological scenario. However, this did not mean that the ministerial portfolio withdrew all notice, but on the contrary: in times of allergies and respiratory diseases, the population was urged to continue with the necessary care.

Through the Public Vaccination Monitor, it was stated that 109,397,777 doses were administered against the coronavirus. The number breaks down like this:
- First dose: 40,977,557 people.
- Second dose: 37,814,417 people.
- Booster dose: 27,455,040 people.
- Additional dose: 3,150,763 people.
