According to our information, 8,500 classes were closed in France on Wednesday. Tuesday, the Minister of National Education Jean-Michel Blanquer had given the figure of 6000 closed classes. 2,500 more classes were therefore closed in one day.

Moreover, according to corroborating sources at BFMTV, the end of the rule “1 positive pupil = closure of the class”, which the government should announce this Thursday, will come into force in the middle of next week.

Indeed, the government must announce a modification of the sanitary rules at the school. Kindergarten and primary classes will no longer be forced to close upon detection of a case of Covid-19, as was the case until now.

Instead, when a student tests positive for the coronavirus, their classmates will have to take tests and those who test negative can immediately return to the classroom.
