Covid-19: Mexico registers 4,128 new cases and 263 deaths in the last 24 hours

For the second consecutive day, the Ministry of Health reported that the number of Covid-19 infections registered in the last 24 hours is higher than 4,000 cases, a figure not seen since the end of October this year.

In the daily technical report on the progress of the Covid-19 pandemic in Mexico, 4,128 new confirmed cases of this disease were registered, to reach a cumulative total of 3 million 876,391 infections.

The official figure of deaths from Covid-19 it increased to 293,449, after the federal agency reported 263 new deaths.

The hospital capacity for the care of patients with the new coronavirus did not register changes for the third consecutive day, the occupation of general beds is located at 17%, while that of beds with a ventilator has an occupation of 13 percent.

The Ministry of Health estimates 21,863 active cases, that is, people who presented Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days.

The states that have registered the highest rate of active cases per 100,000 inhabitants are:

  • Baja California
  • Sonora
  • Baja California Sur
  • Chihuahua
  • Mexico City
  • Guanajuato
  • Aguascalientes
  • Queretaro
  • Durango

Advancement of vaccination against Covid-19 in Mexico

At the cutoff on Wednesday, November 24, 221,510 vaccines against the coronavirus were applied, so the total doses supplied nationwide increased to 131 million 601,135.

The federal government reported that 76 million 164,064 people have been immunized against the disease caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

The Ministry of Health detailed that 64 million 618,673 people have completed their vaccination schedule with one or two doses, depending on the type of vaccine applied; while 11 million 545, 391 people have half a scheme.
