Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving Manchester United immediately

In the middle of the World Cup, Premier League club Manchester United announces that Cristiano Ronaldo has done his part at the club. The contract has been terminated and the Portuguese can now begin the search for a new employer.

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has played his last game for Manchester United. The club announces that the parties have agreed to terminate the contract with immediate effect. Seven months remained on the Portuguese’s contract which according to the BBC was worth around €500,000 a week.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently in Qatar where Portugal’s opening match against Ghana is scheduled for Thursday.

Ahead of the World Cup, Ronaldo saw Manchester United at the ankles in a controversial interview with Piers Morgan. Even the new coach Erik ten Hag got his fair share.

– I have no respect for him, because he does not respect me. “If you don’t respect me, I won’t show you any respect,” Ronaldo said.

The autumn season has been marred by various problems and Ronaldo has often been benched. In a match against Tottenham, he refused to be substituted, which made big headlines. This season there were four starts in the Premier League, six appearances and one league goal.

In August 2021, the Portuguese moved from Juventus to Manchester United. He also played for the Premier League club from 2003-2009 as he developed into a world-class player.

When the transfer window opens in January, the Portuguese is free to sign for a new club.
