Cyberpunk 2077 may still add multiplayer

Newly released patch 1.3k Cyberpunk 2077 did not live up to the expectations of the fans of the game, but gave another hope. Inquisitive dataminers in the patch files found indications that the studio is continuing to work on two major additions, engine improvements and a multiplayer mode.

Insider Tyler McVicker fired on his YouTube-channel video with the analysis of the finds. He said that the patch contains a number of unnoticeable at first glance innovations. And the main one is the restructuring of the RED Engine, which facilitates the introduction of new functions, mechanics and systems.

As we know, many of the promised features were not included in the release version of the game. Probably, now the studio is working on how to still bring them to a working form. In addition, the files indicate that work is ongoing on the second expansion, as well as on the online mode.

Initially, we recall CD Project RED planned to release a separate large-budget online game based on Cyberpunk 2077 in the manner of GTA Online… The idea was then dropped, promising instead to add online capabilities directly to the main project. But since then, there has been no news of the multiplayer mode, and it was considered canceled.

According to McVicker, a number of data indicate that, in fact, Cyberpunk 2077 was released in beta, in fact in early access.
