Daniel Hugo Barragan Coloma was sworn in tonight at the Government Palace as the new head of the Ministry of Defense (Mindef)replacing the military officer Richard Tineo Quispe, who had taken office on August 24, just a month ago, and this Friday he was appointed the new Minister of Transport and Communications (MTC).
The brand new head of Mindef is a retired official from the Peruvian Air Force (FAP), degree in Aerospace Management Sciences and staff officer of this institution, with extensive experience in the management and development of human resources.
He was also a coordinating adviser to a parliamentary caucus in the Congress of the Republic and macro-regional coordinator of Social Programs of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis)between 2020 and 2022. He has also been director of the National Association of Entrepreneurs- ANDE and has worked in operations and logistics services in the private sector.
He has also completed postgraduate studies in the Center for Advanced National Studies (CAEN), in the Special Course of Development and National Defense. In addition, she took the Administration and Organization Course at the ESAN University.
It should be noted that Daniel Barragan Coloma He was a candidate for the second vice-presidency of the Republic for the Union for Peru (UPP), which was led by former congressman José Vega, in the 2021 general elections.
