During the day today, EA Motive and Electronic Arts held another live stream dedicated to Dead Space Remake. This time the development team focused on the artistic aspect of the game and how it is using the Frostbite and the hardware of the new consoles (PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X) and the PC one. Definitely important technical details, but which have been almost overshadowed by another very important announcement, namely the release date of the game.
As communicated by EA Motive and Electronic Arts, Dead Space Remake will be officially launched on January 27, 2023. The title will be available for PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PC. Clearly, the marketing machine isn’t going to start anytime soon. If you are curious to find out all the details about the game, EA Motive has set the complete reveal of the remake of the historic game in the fall. The exact date is not there yet, but Electronic Arts has reassured us that it will arrive just in time for Halloween.
As for the contents of today’s streaming, EA Motive has focused on the arts sector and everything that made possible the creation of the remake of the historic title. In detail, the live has revealed how the development team is currently working to reconstruct the original aesthetics of the game, with improvements that can be visible to the naked eye. Some of these improvements, as explained by EA Motive, relate to environments, characters, VFXs and lighting. Everything, of course, was completely rebuilt from scratch.
