The remake of the horror game Dead Space has been in development for some time now. We kept getting new information and pictures about the game, but those responsible at Electronic Arts have not wanted to share an exact release date. Actually, the title should have been released in 2022, but in March of this year the publication was postponed to 2023.
When will the Dead Space remake come out?
Today, May 12, 2022 at 7 p.m. German time, a live stream for the new Dead Space remake took place. This mainly focused on the graphical changes compared to the original. The developers showed some concept art, explained technical details, and revealed more information about the aesthetics of the new remake.
Many players were actually hoping to finally see real gameplay for the new title in this live stream, but unfortunately this was not the case. As a small consolation, the developers at least revealed the release date of the new title. Like the official one Dead Space Twitter account reveals Dead Space Remake is scheduled to be released on January 27, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Technically, the remake uses the Frostbite engine, so visually the game takes a significant step forward compared to the original, which could also be seen in today’s live stream. There will also be some innovations in other places compared to the original game. For example, the main character, Isaac Clarke, will now speak, and material that was previously cut is set to return to the game.
Until the game finally releases on January 27th, 2023, we hope to get some new information about Dead Space Remake. Among them probably also the first real gameplay scenes from the game. Until then, however, there are already a bunch of details about the remake of the popular horror game, such as the various accessibility options that will be available in the game.
