Fourteen years after its release, the game from the defunct studio Visceral Games, which had in its time succeeded in effectively dusting off the genre of survival horror will return to next-gen machines, with a major technical overhaul, of course, but also relevant adjustments to the game system and storytelling, as we were told in the first preview last September.
If we still have to settle for a gallery of illustrations for today, it is certain that we will see this remake in action during the fall, more exactly at the end of October in time for Halloween. A short sequence (visible at 1:18:35) specially refined by the developers for the stream was still aired to give a good idea of the atmosphere that awaits us in the final version. As it stands, the game is still in pre-alpha, but the Motive Studios team was recently able to go through the adventure from start to finish and is therefore entering the final stretch of development.
Moreover, those who are disappointed not to be entitled to a new episode can always watch The Callisto Protocol, other survival horror sci-fi film in the making at Striking Distance Studios, whose team includes Dead Space alumni, starting with producer Glen Schofield.
