The Samsung Odyssey G9 is more of a cockpit than a monitor and offers a 49 “diagonal.
The second day of Black Friday offers on Amazon has started and there weren’t really many new offers. You might have come across one or the other product in this news yesterday, but we haven’t reported about it yet.
As usual, the extended return period from Amazon continues until the end of January – so you can shop for Christmas with a clear conscience without having to sit on it if you don’t like it.
Samsung Odyssey G9
Ultra-Ultrawide: You certainly don’t need a monitor for the masses and you also need a really large desk – then the Samsung Odyssey G9 C49RG94SSR easily replaces two WQHD monitors with 27 inches each and also dispenses with the annoying edge in the middle, where the frames of the screens would meet. In the 32: 9 format, however, it is actually important to incorporate a certain curvature – Samsung even opted for the R1800, a very strong curvature.
HDR and high resolution: The QLED coating ensures good black and color values on the VA panel. Thanks to a high brightness of up to 1,000 nits, Samsung can distinguish itself with the HDR 600 display, plus a dimming backlight for better brightness levels. The monitor works at 120 Hz and offers a resolution of quite a remarkable 5,120×1,440 pixels.
Alternative: The Odyssey G7, which comes with a 32-inch diagonal and WQHD resolution, is much more handy. It works at 240 Hz and offers a significantly smoother curvature than the large G9.
- 120 Hz and 5,120×1,440 pixels
- requires a lot of floor space
- Price, despite the deal
- 32: 9 not suitable for every game
25K DPI mouse from Logitech for 36.99 euros
HERO: At Logitech, the in-house HERO sensor has established itself for high-quality gaming mice; in the largest expansion stage, the sensor creates 25,000 DPI. This is also the case with the G502 HERO Special Edition, which is offered today for an affordable 36.99 euros. You can set the accuracy of the sensor using a button or software, and the weight of the mouse can also be adjusted – physically, not using software, of course. Well, nice idea.
If you prefer to play wirelessly, the Logitech G Pro Wireless would be a recommendation, especially since the mouse can be used with both hands – greetings to the 11% left-handers in the population. The 25K HERO sensor is also used here.
Oneplus Nord CE, Nintendo Switch Games and more
Of course, that’s not all, we still have a few mixed offers from the range for you. The Oneplus Nord CE, for example, an exceptionally well-equipped smartphone with a 90 Hz AMOLED display, 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of flash for 339.99 euros. Only the processor is an indication of the lower price: Instead of an expensive high-end model, the Snapdragon 750G, which is still perfectly adequate, is used.
