This is the summary of what you can expect from Trials of Osiris in the upcoming seasons:

  • Trials will only be available to players who own the latest annual expansion (The Witch Queen)
  • You can continue playing once you’ve racked up three losses and continue to earn gear (although Trials will only offer their best rewards to Flawless runs)
  • PC players will now notice that the BattlEye anti-cheat is in effect

  • Trials of Osiris Rewards This Week (September 23-27)

Instead of the previously required victory thresholds of 3, 5, 7 and Flawless for rewards, players no longer get specific weapons, in fact you will now earn Trials Engrams for leveling up your reputation with Saint-14 in Tower’s Hangar, however, you’ll get an “Adept” rotary weapon for a flawless run, but the full rewards for Season of Plunder have yet to be revealed.

  • Reputation Rank 10 – The Arbiter (Bow Shotgun)
  • Reputation Rank 16: Whimsy of Whistler (Kinetic Bow)
  • Flawless Run – Whistler’s Caprice (Adept) (Kinetic Bow)

So, once a Trials of Osiris reward has been unlocked, you can roll again for the cost of a Trials engram, which means farming rolls have never been easier and don’t forget you can get a better gear with higher stat rolls when flawless, as reputation from rank 10 and rank 16 checks will also guarantee weapon drops.

Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Passages Explained

With the playlist revamp in Season of the Lost, Trials of Osiris also saw some changes to its Passages (or Cards), these quest items grant you access to the Trials playlist every weekend, and there are Some important changes to note in the new system:

Tickets no longer track losses:

  • Each passage is perfect or not, allowing you to keep playing and earning rewards no matter how many losses you suffer.
  • Players can still reset their Ticket after a loss, but are no longer required to do so after reaching three losses on their card.
  • Passages now track up to 20 round wins
  • All Tickets have had their prices significantly reduced

Namely, Passages are now account-wide, meaning you can play and earn rewards on any of your characters using the same Passage, so make sure you grab the correct Passage before jumping into Trials for the weekend. .

These changes, and what they mean to you as you prepare for your playlist, can be quite confusing. Fortunately, we have a breakdown of each Passage, what it does, and which one might be right for you:

  • Mercy Passage: This Passage forgives one loss per run

If your goal is to get to the Lighthouse, this is the Passage for you. You’ll get a free loss with no need to reset your card and start from scratch

  • Passage of Ferocity – This Passage grants you an additional win after reaching three wins on your card

Usually the next option behind Mercy for Flawless is run, this will allow you to skip an entire match on your way to the Lighthouse, but you won’t have the loss forgiveness that comes with Mercy.

  • Passage of Wealth – This Passage awards increased trial rank points upon reaching 3, 5, and 7 match wins.

If you’re more focused on collecting Trials rewards and aren’t worried about being flawless, this is the card for you. With the new Trials reputation system, Passage of Wealth will rank up with Saint-14 faster than any other card.

  • Passage of Confidence: This Passage gives an additional reward from the Flawless chest, but you can only acquire this card after you’ve been Flawless that week.

If you’re confident in your abilities and have a solid team to play with, Confidence Passage can help you rack up more rewards at the Lighthouse, but it’s arguably the most difficult Passage to play.

Choosing the right Passage for you (and your teammates, if you plan on entering the Trials with a pre-made team) will go a long way towards making sure you get the most out of your playlist time each weekend.
