Michael Kasper from the Heimatschutzverein Montafon, author Edith Hessenberger and Arno Sprenger from Sparkasse Bludenz are happy about the publication of the third volume from the series of “Historical Children’s Worlds”.

In the children’s book series of the Montafon museums, the third volume on the history of hut landlords’ children in the interwar period, for which the ethnologist Edith Hessenberger was responsible, has been published.

Based on a true story, the growing up of two girls in a refuge in the Silvretta is discussed. During the book presentation, a contemporary witness described her memories of her childhood at the Saarbrücker Hütte. Edith Hessenberger as the author, Gabriele Plattner as the illustrator and Sabrina Fleisch as the graphic artist are responsible for the volume, which was published in the series “Historische Kinderlebenswelten” by the Heimatschutzverein Montafon.

The publication of the new book was supported by Sparkasse Bludenz, as was the case with the first two volumes on the subjects of “Goat hat” and “Swabian children”. The book “Die Bergfeen” is available in the Montafon museums and in bookshops. There are two copies in the open bookcase in the Sparkasse in Bludenz.
