Around the same time as rumors of a Black Panther game from Electronic Arts surfaced, there was talk again that the same publisher also had an Iron Man project in the works. Many were hoping to see at least one of these games during the Disney and Marvel stream earlier this month, which sadly didn’t come to pass… but now is the time, apparently.
EA Motive – which helped with the Star Wars Battlefront II campaign, created Star Wars: Squadrons and is currently refining Dead Space – announces officially that they are working on a new story-focused Iron Man game that will be played in third person. In addition to that, we also learn that it will have a completely new story and thus is not based on movies or comic books, and that it is still in a very early stage.
That means we won’t get any gameplay videos for a very long time. Hopefully they build on how it felt to fly and use the suits in Anthem, because those bits from Bioware’s “flop” we can still agree were excellent, right?
