El Cacique already equaled the 37 goals he scored in 2020

Colo Colo continues with its important winning streak after beating Unión Española 1-0 on its visit to Santa Laura, being Maximiliano Falcón responsible for the victory after a good header at the beginning of the second half in this duel valid for date 16 of the 2021 National Championship.

This much from the Wig to Hispanics was the gol 37 of the Cacique so far in the 2021 season, being 24 for the tournament, eleven for the Chile Cup and two in the Super Cup. The number is important, since It’s the same 37 touchdowns the Albos made in the entire 2020 season.

When that infamous campaign that almost sent us to the B, one of the most important points was the little scoring power that the team had throughout that year, just noting 33 goals in the National Championship, three in the Liberators Cup and one goal in the Promotion match.

In that campaign the team’s top scorer was Leonardo Valencia with just six annotations, being followed by Gabriel Costa with five and Esteban Paredes with four. For this 2021 the situation changed a bit, since the white scorer is Iván Morales with eleven goals, followed by Leonardo Gil with five and Gabi Costa with four.

Despite this improvement, there is still the feeling that a goal is missing in the Cacique’s lead, something that was clearly seen in the visit to the Hispanics, where 14 occasions were counted to make the final 1-0 at Santa Laura.
