The elections primary, open, simultaneous and mandatory (STEP) of 2021 and there are some doubts that it is important to clarify. One of them is what to do in the event that the name of a relative, friend or friend who died is detected in the electoral roll.
In this sense, the Chief of Cabinet issued a statement in which he reported the steps to be followed on the day of voting in the case of identifying this fact.

Likewise, the National Registry of Persons (RENAPER), which depends on the Ministry of the Interior under Eduardo Wado de Pedro, is the body that communicates deaths to the Electoral Justice and, therefore, updates the registry.
In turn, there was time to complain or notify about errors until August 23, so what is reported from now on will be reflected in the next elections.
In any case, the National Electoral Chamber (CNE) maintained that it has no delay in registering the deceased. Nevertheless, there may be exceptions or a recent case that occurred after the generation and printing of patterns.
Finally, the Government clarifies that, although it may happen that a deceased person appears in the register, it does not mean that they have voted, since no one can impersonate the identity of another.
Recommendations for voting
To maintain care for the coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of the Interior and the CNE indicated that a mask or mask should be used at all times and maintain social distance.
At the same time, they recommended that each voter carry their own pen, although, in the case of not doing so, a previously sanitized pen will be available to sign the padrn.
Finally, they asked that the envelope not be sealed with saliva. The correct way is to fold the flap inwards or, if you want to stick it, use your own adhesive but not saliva, to avoid being a vector of contagion for the table authorities.
