Elon Musk says he wants to lift Trump’s Twitter ban

Elon Musk said he was in favor of Donald Trump returning to Twitter, a social network he is in the process of buying. But for the moment, this is not the wish of the former president of the United States.

New Twitter boss Elon Musk has said he wants to lift Donald Trump’s ban from the social network. At the announcement of Twitter by the founder of Tesla, self-proclaimed freedom of expression absolutist, several observers wondered about a possible return of the former American president on the platform, banned since January 2021.

Unsurprisingly, Elon Musk is therefore in favor of it. Will Donald Trump change his mind? Asked about the subject on April 25, the former tenant of the White House immediately ruled out re-registering on the platform, where he was followed by 89 million subscribers.

“I’m not going to Twitter, I’m staying on TRUTH,” he told US channel Fox News in reference to the Truth Social platform, which he launched in February and touted as an alternative to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
