Mexico City.- A huge collection of jewelry and watches that Elvis Presley gave to his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, will be auctioned on August 27 with the support of the singer’s ex-wife, Priscilla Presley.
Around 200 items, including jewel-encrusted gold rings, cufflinks, watches and chains, among many other products, were collected over several months by GWS Auctions.
Also included in the collection to be auctioned is a V-2 guitar played by Presley during his famous 1968 television special; It is listed at $750,000.
Presley’s 9.81-carat Diamond ‘First’ ring is also on the list, for a minimum bid of $500,000. Also added is his 18-carat lion ring, which he wore in his documentary Elvis: That’s The Way It Is; its sale price is a minimum of 25 thousand dollars.
