Family of recyclers sleeps on the street after confiscation of their motorcycle in Surco

A humble family of recyclers now sleeps on the street after inspectors from the Municipality of Surco seized their motorcycle. This vehicle was used as the only work tool and as a home.

The family told RPP that yesterday, Tuesday, May 10, some inspectors seized their unit minutes after being surprised when they were doing recycling work, albeit informally.

However, as a result of this, they have now been left without shelter to rest. It should be noted that it is a mother, father and a 6-year-old boy who have been cold in front of the municipal deposit, as they hope that the commune will return their vehicle.

“10 months ago we decided to sell the few things we had to build this ‘motito’ and get ahead, due to problems that my husband had and couldn’t get a job”, said Angélica, a member of this family.

Angélica added that this motorcycle is her only livelihood. Piety please... to the Minister of Women who does not allow the humiliation that has been done to me, the beatings and mistreatment that the Surco inspectors have given me yesterday, the only thing I need is my work tool to live, with that as”denounced the woman between tears.

The family awaits the return of the vehicle in front of the municipal deposit, located on Jorge Chávez Avenue.
