Fanatec has now unveiled the Gran Turismo DD Pro

For anyone looking for a real steering wheel base and pedals for their Playstation 5, who want to be completely ready for next year’s release of Gran Turismo 7 and mash around in the Assetto Corsa Competizione and Dirt Rally 2.0 for Playstation 4/5 with an uncontrolled steering wheel engine of straps or chains, now finally comes Fanatec’s first official Gran Turismo steering wheel. Gran Turismo DD Pro was announced a while ago, will cost SEK 6,999 including a special pretzel designed by Polyphony Digital and the CSL DD pedals. A terribly nice price, in other words, considering that the current, belt-driven, GT Sport steering wheel Thrustmaster T-GT costs 1800 kronor more and offers a clearly less expensive package with poorer force feedback, power, sensitivity and plastic pedals. Here at Gamereactor, we have already received our review copy and offer a review tomorrow night.

The Gran Turismo series has one of the most significant legacies in sim racing. This is the series that introduced many of us to the idea of a more realistic type of racing in a video game. Polyphony Digital pioneered the realistic racer on the original PlayStation, and the release of a new version for each PlayStation generation is always a big event. We’re super excited about Gran Turismo 7 coming in early March 2022, and of course we have been working hard to prepare this product to be ready in time. In fact, we are offering the option to air-freight the very first units before Christmas! You can enjoy your existing PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 racing games, including Gran Turismo Sport, on this incredible new hardware while you wait for the big Gran Turismo 7 release in March.
