Far Cry 6 plays for free this weekend

In addition to the free game given away by the Epic Games Store, even Ubisoft has decided to pay homage (albeit temporarily) to another title to play for free. We’re talking about Far Cry 6, the latest iteration of the franchise, which debuted in the fall of 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series SXbox Series X and PC.

The free trial of Far Cry 6 takes place from now and will last until August 7, 2022. There is no limit to the version: unlike other games, in fact, the title is completely free for the whole weekend on all platforms. Not only that: not only the base title will be playable completely free, but also all its DLCs published to date. However, it is not the only novelty related to the game.

Simultaneously with the free weekend, Ubisoft has decided to discount the work on all platforms. On PC, Far Cry 6 can be purchased at 60% less, with the season pass available separately at 50% cheaper, as well as on consoles on Xbox. On PlayStation, on the other hand, the game is available in Deluxe Edition at 55% less than the list price and 60% less for the Ultimate Edition. The sales will go on until mid-August and it is certainly an interesting offer if you have not yet had the opportunity to put your hand to the title. In addition, the saves will be kept and can be transferred if you decide to purchase the full version.

According to some rumors, Far Cry 6 will probably be the last game in the series to have a classic distribution. In fact, some rumors want an evolution for the series, with the next chapter that should serve as a platform that will expand over time, with new stories, new characters and new locations. A real GaaS (Game as a Service), a formula that seems to have definitely taken hold in the world of video games.
