Félix Gallardo will not be transferred due to bracelet failures

Mexico City.- Arguing that the Attorney General’s Office did not receive the alert from the bracelet that will monitor Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, the transfer to the capo’s house, which was scheduled for today, was canceled for the second time.

“The alert that they tried last time (…) immediately reached all the institutions, but what do you think? Not the Prosecutor’s Office,” lamented Félix Gallardo’s lawyer, María Teresa Vallejo Pérez.

The General Directorate of Prevention and Social Reintegration of Jalisco reported that there is no specific date for the transfer, since it will be until the faults of the company supervising the electronic bracelet are corrected.

The agency recalled that at 2:50 p.m. this Friday, it received a notification from the seventh district judge in charge of the transfer of Félix Gallardo, where he reported that house arrest was suspended.

At 3:00 p.m. it was scheduled to review whether the optimal conditions existed for the “chief of chiefs” to serve the rest of his sentence in a home and at 6:00 p.m. was the hearing to put on the bracelet.

The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) requested that in the meantime, the Chief of Chiefs be sent to Cefereso de Morelos, but the defense stressed that they do not have medicine there to treat him.

An amparo 661/2022 was even filed on September 19 asking for this not to happen.

“Today he sleeps here, tomorrow he sleeps here and every day he will sleep here, it is ruled out that he will leave,” Vallejo Pérez emphasized.

In addition, yesterday they filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) for continuous torture.

Félix Gallardo’s lawyer considered the actions of the FGR to give the capo a lethal injection.

“The company has already delivered all the documents, this is a delaying action,” he said.
