Ferrarithe legendary Italian car manufacturer, is working on the development and implementation of engine noises in your next electric vehicles.

According to a report published on the website of gizmodothe proof of this is the recent patent that they have applied for, where a system is included that reproduces the noises of the combustion engine that can be synchronized with the increase in acceleration of the electric motors of the car.

When will the first electric cars from Ferrari arrive?

Ferrari’s first all-electric vehicle will come out in 2025 and will take a significant turn in the market for this type of car, precisely because of engine sound technology.

Adding or implementing engine sound to electric cars is not only a matter of taste, but also of safety for pedestrians and cyclists who may not hear the arrival of a car that runs on electricity.

It is known that since 2021 electric car manufacturers are required to produce sounds at low speeds, called Avas (Acoustic Vehicle Alert System), a kind of buzz or electronic noise.

Regarding the patent, it relates to a “reproduction device for making a sound that can be associated with an electric motor”.

This technology, according to ODDO BHF analysts, would allow the electric Ferrari to amplify the sound of its electric motors while redirecting noise to the rear.
